Patch Point/Aux Track; I "get" it now!
Input echo must be engaged for aux/patch to work. doh!
Use the "send" from the parent tracks if you want "solo" to work without soloing the parent track. (ok)
You'll get the annoying "silent track" warning if you assign the parent tracks to -none-. (its annoying, but usefull...)
But
"no one ever gets exactly want they want Bluesman". (ain't that the truth!)
I suspect this is a feature that will "mature" over time (I hope anyway)
*** You can ignore the rest, nothing to see here ***
I'm just getting started with the Patch/Aux tracks.
Twice now I've had the Patch/Aux track go "silent" on me.
I route EZD2 to a bunch of mono tracks in a "Drums" folder.
The Pop Rock kit has 2 snare tracks, so I route them both to an Aux track (or Patch Point).
This way I can "process" just the combined track.
The Aux (or Patch) is then routed to the "Drum Buss" (are you with me so far?).
Two separate projects, one I used Aux, one I used Patch; SAME RESULT.
Everything is working fine, I've got the project sounding pretty good; SAVE AND CLOSE PROJECT.
Reopen project; NO SNARE. The Aux or Patch track is SILENT!
Delete track, insert new Aux/Patch, etc. etc.
The second iteration of the Aux/Patch track hasn't gone silent; YET.
Both projects were created PRE S-Plat; if that matters...
Thought, ideas, similar experiences?
Tom
