Can't add TTS-1 Synth
I can see that TTS-1 is listed as an Audio FX, so it can't be inserted as a synth. It works fine on all the old project where it's allready inserted. Question is how do I change it to instrument so I can add it ?

Hi. The TTS (I believe) is a Dxi only, and has to be inserted through the insert Soft Synth option. All the best. Edit. Maybe you have it enabled as an effect, and excluded from Dxi?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, thats the way it used to works but now it's gone from that view and I don't know how to enable it as a soft synth and not an audio effect.

I wonder if that would be through the Cakewalk Plug-In Manager? Bob Bone

Is it also listed under DirectX Instruments? If not, what if you click on the Show Excluded option (lower left)?

I guess I need more coffee. I haven't figured this out yet, but had a thought. You indicated in your original post of the thread that it worked in older projects where it had already been inserted. That being the case, why not try to create a track template from one of those old projects, by selecting a midi track that is assigned to TTS-1, and right-click on it and click on Save as Track Template, giving it some brilliant name like TTS-1, and then you might be able to simply insert that track template into a new project and end up with Sonar loading TTS-1 into the synth rack for you, and adding a midi track assigned to it. Just a thought, Bob Bone

More than TTS-1 is messed up in the image above. I doubt this is the installation used to create the old projects. Which version of SONAR is this? What OS? How was SONAR installed?

Yup, this worked. Thanks. Didn't know about that one. I feel I have only scratched the surface of what Sonar can do.

I used to have cakewalk music creator, but upgraded. First on Win7 and now upgraded to Win10. Maybe somewhere something went wrong.

No matter what else may be going on, you are running the initial install for X3, with no maintenance applied for it. Here is the Cakewalk link to the download page for the X3e maintenance: http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013361/SONAR-X3e-Update I HIGHLY recommend that you review the above, as well as download it and install it. There are a huge (probably over a couple hundred) maintenance fixes between the version you have installed and the above X3e maintenance version. Please note that you do NOT have to download and install any maintenance in between X3a and X3e, as each maintenance update is cumulative in nature, so X3e will have all available updates applied.
