I was very cool among the Farrah Fawcett fan club.

I could and did get away with a lot of stuff back then. I'm confident that the statute of limitations has expired on most of them.

Isn't pink supposed to be a manly color these days? At least that's what a friend of mine insisted over the sound of me laughing when he showed up to the bar in a pink shirt.

Just taken receipt of another vintage photo. This one's circa around 1990/91 or so. Me and our merry band of stoners. Disappointingly, I'm the most normal looking one. I'm even wearing a frigging watch.

This is what eventually happened to the former World Champion of Women's handbag fighting the day after she lost the Main Event .

She went on to become an actor  .

James. People who think that they are cool never really are. Most people who think they are cool are just jerks (with the exception of me of course). People who think they are not cool usually are, in fact, cool, I suspect you actually are. Your musical taste is certainly cool.
I wish I had some pictures of me in bands but I don't have one... no recordings either.

Hi,

I'll dig into the archives.

Btw, pink is no different than any other color and anyone making assumptions ... is silly. I have a couple of long sleeve shirts, one bright orange and the other bright pink, and I even wore it to work, with a button ... it said ... "You ladies know why I am wearing this pink shirt!" .... got lots of comments and even got laid!

At 65 that's an accomplishment!

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

Just been going through reams of old paperwork and de-cluttering. Found some ancient photos...
Got any good ones of your own?

This inspired me to go find one of the few I have, but when I click "Insert/Edit Image" all I get is a box for a URL, and when I click the "Attach Images" icon I get a choice of URL or "Gallery", but when I click the latter I'm asked to pick one of the "options below", but there are no options.  I doubt it's because I'm too "cool" for this!

Any ideas?  This happens in both Quick Reply and the Full Version.
Steve

EDIT:  Unrelated, but I edited my original message to fix a typo, and it's now 6:03 p.m. California time, but my post said edited at 6:15 p.m.  The Earth is running fast...

Go to imgur.com and drag your photo onto the page. Click "upload" and when it's done copy the "direct link" url by clicking on the little page icon next to it. You can then insert that image into your forum post by clicking on the "Insert image" icon and pasting the URL into the box that comes up.

Thanks for the info.  Is this what everyone does, then?  I seem to recall that we used to be able to simply upload images from the hard drive.

No, some of us have our own websites that we upload files to.  That said, yes, you have to upload somewhere first, there's no option to upload directly here.
