Just have to say it!

Ok...I have to say this...

Getting the Music Production Bundle from Ozone was the shiznet...

$209 for the whole shabang, including the upgrade to O7 Advanced,
which was worth it's weight in gold...what a glorious thing....

I never even dreamed I'd be able to have Ozone Advanced...in any number...
let alone the MPB....and a FREE upgrade to O7A....???

I have to say that the MPB was my FAVORITE and BEST purchase of 2015!!!

I have NEVER been happier with the purchase of a plugin...period.
What a glorious thing it is!

Thanx for listening!

You're damn right, Larry. Every time I open it, I get a smile on my face. It's a fantastic bundle. Nectar for voice, Trash for mangling, Alloy for mixing and Ozone for mastering. All that for $209, it's just wonderful.

How can I get it?

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Sent you a message to explain, gswitz!
Edith says: though iZotope has this on sale "until December 31st", you can still find it at JRR for $209 with code "Group". But you need one or two iZotope plugins to upgrade from (and I'm willing to part with Trash2 if needed).

I m kinda dissapointed with alloy ...nectar is cool but nothing extraordinary as well a trash ...ozone is exellent ... Will try to do certainly a review on it ....
For ozone it s ok but for nectar , alloy ect ... The cpu hit make em unusable in real serious mixing situation , used here and there is ok but forget about having alloy in every track witch i can easyli do with a duende eq , filter , gate compressor working .... They seems to be introducing latencies a lot ( the tracking option is great) but having sperate modules for nectar an d other would have been great like ozone advaced

Insight is serious but the fact that we can t re organise the static module is a pain , they have varaible size but fixed poistion ...the spectrum anaylyser ... Really sucks ...the rest is exellent

Re: Just have to say it!l 2016/01/04 11:09:10 (permalink)
sometimes I just do not understand when I read a post.

why in the wolrd would you have Nectar on every track....like...ever?!  it's primarilay a vocal plugin so on a many track project maybe 1/4 of the tracks would be vocals and would require Nectar to be on.

why would you have all your plugins on when your are at the end at the mixing phase?!

generally I've tweaked and am ready to bounce all tracks down and in mixing I am cleaning up odd pops or frequencies, leveling all tracks and adding wrmth overall - generally mixing all the elements together and making some thing stand out and pushing some things back.

I generally have a Project - complete ready for mix file - then I duplicate the project for mixing.  just in case I want to go back and do something or start over - always keeping a "final" project on hand.

why would you need al those plugins running when your at the mixing stage?

I have 32gigs of ram and there is ALWAYS a limit to how many plugins and how much my CPU or rig can handle.  but I can load a TON of crap in a project without many problems.

I am not a fan of iZotope any more.  I think they have become a ad feature, release, forget company.  their plugins don't do a lot for me any more and I am not a fan of the company any longer.  coming from someone that owns all the isotope plugins but Isis 2 and advanced versions.  I am no longer buying into their upgrade and support a company that wants pay for fixes next relese version.  the Ozone 5/6/7 became too much.  Trash 2 shown no love.  other plugins have just been left out in the rain.  Guess I'll see what 2016 holds.

if you don't have isotope plugins and your just getting you feet wet , or you have one and are upgrading to a bundle package there are some great gems to be found and some useful tools if you don't have them - but look before leaping, you may already have something that does the job just as well.

I am quite fond of nectar but the cpu hit is too much to use on every track. Not sure why one would use on every track since it is aimed at vocals. Alloy is far more general in usage but also feels like overkill when you just want to use any of the individual modules. With that said, wish i was in position to take advantage of this deal.

DD, if you've got Nectar and/or Alloy, you could get the deal and then sell off your duplicates.

Agree 100%, Larry. I'm glad I let you talk me into it.

Different strokes, I guess...I've found no use for Nectar but Alloy gets LOTS of use. But I consider those just icing on the cake anyway; Ozone 7 Advanced and in particular its new IRC4 mode, that's the real prize. I like Insight, too.

Indeed bit...I use Alloy a bit...07A a LOT, and Nectar I've dabbled with...but I'm so comfortable with Melodyne
that it gets most of my pitch correction uses...Trash is kewl...but really haven't gotten down and dirty with it
yet...but for that price...it was like getting a SUPER deal on 06A with the upgrade to 07A, and the rest were just freebies thrown in the bag...

How the hell you doin'

Can't add much to this thread since the only Alloy I have is rusting away on the tires of my 2001 Kia Rio.

Just to say, welcome back.

The lights definitely dimmed around here while you were banished into exile.

I never said nectar is to be used on every track ..... Alloy is supposed to .... When as a developper you make a channel strip , you re suppose to take this in consideration ...

For vocals , i just finshed a track with a jamaican singer on the hook , menphis rappers on verses 1 with a singing pre hook and a german rapper .... Do you know how many vocal tracks i have to handle ? Of cours i treat leads in priority and add leads , bgv ect secondary ... But even like that just 8 instance of nectar isn t worth the cpu hit since i have to handle big drums , synths , hook lozded with spitfire brasses ect .....

I mean guyz , give me a litlle credit , i do plugin consulting , testing , optimisation control , beta , reviews , and i teach those .... Again , those are great plugins , but nothing that can t be done better with less cpu , those are really good in workflow and higly pedagogical , with everything paked , but i put them like last waves releases ... Too much cpu for the redults ... To be used in low track numbers projects ... Cause even in high track project , i have better and less cpu hungry ....
