Sonar just stopped recording

Hello,  I haven 't been on the forum for awhile but really need help..
I opened a new project and stated recording some reference tracks for my new song and Sonar Platinum just stopped recording.  
I have two computers I use for Sonar and this one is Windows 8.1, CPU 62030 3.00 Ghz & 3.00 Ghz 4.00 RAM, 64 bit and I'm using a Presonus Audiobox USB for interface.  The signal is on the meter and the record button is activated but when i click on the main record button the engine starts but the main record button does not light up.
 
it's probably something stupid that I am overlooking but I can't figure out what it is.

    Is a punch recording region enabled?

    You might consider adding Solved to your thread's subject, so that others know it has been addressed, if looking for a similar issue they might be having.  :)
