4 hour mix/master - I did it.
ToonTrack offered some raw tracks to mix HERE from a group called Lebelle. So I thought I'd try to challenge myself to do a mix/master in under 4 hours just to see what it would come out like. HERE IS THE RESULT

Did you use EZ Mix2? Although I've always wanted to do this, I've never mixed someone else's project........I think I'll give it a shot and see what comes out of it. Will check your mix (SoundCloud) once I get home.

Sadly, no. Just used many of my "go to" tools.

I listened to this mix in the car today and realized I made the BGVs a little too upfront. I will update this mix tonight.

Good job overall. the cymbals during the chorus were a bit harsh but otherwise nice mix.

Not bad mayte. I think the lead vocal could use a bigger treatment to make it work against the wall-of-sound guitars in the hook, but it's all personal taste. BGV's are nicely placed.

Ed, Nice mix. Well balanced and positioned. I agree with James, I might just make the LV a little bigger on the pre-chorus and chorus so as to not be over-powered by the wall of guitars. Really well done. Regards

What? 59 tracks is not a Cakewalk?

Thanks for the positive comments. I wasn't really sure if I did a passable job since I had never heard the song before and it was literally 59 tracks of audio. I'm going to set a goal to give the mix a one hour make over based on the dual suggestion of the LV on the pre/chorus. And I will look/listen closer to the cymbals which could also be affecting the LV. I'm contemplating offering my mixing skills on a local basis (craigslist) and this opportunity came at just the right time.

I think it tuned out pretty well. Not sure what the original tracks sounded like. It has that up front and personal sound for a rock mix.

I posted a snippet of the unaffected/unprocessed tracks in the OP.
