Using an interesting new sidecahain FX in Sonar Platinum

For me, the part starting at 5:32 looks really intriguing

Anyone know to set this up in Sonar? I've, uhm ...  never knowingly sidechained anything in my life. In fact the only sidechain I know is the one my girlfriend uses when she takes me on on errands.

Grateful for any help..

Sonar Platinum Hopkinton, Windows 7 64 bit Pro SP1, i7-37400QM CPU @2.70 GHz, 16 GB RAM, Focusrite Saffire 6 USB

Funny, my wife doesn't need a chain.  I am well trained.

Ive only used sonitus stock plug ins to sidechain.  Sonar makes this fairly simple to accomplish.  Check out CakeTV, they have a few tutorials on how to sidechain and duck.  Here is a link to one of the tutorials I used recently in trying to figure out how to sidechain in Sonar with Waves vocal rider.  Unfortunately, I never accomplished this feat but I did like the explanations provided.

Ducking can be another useful technique with a spouse.

ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.
