adio engine has stopped unexpectedly need help

i have sonar platinum and i keeps sayin that my adio engine has stopped unexpectedly how do i fix that does any one know

    I have sonar platinum and it keeps stopping in the middle of me recording saying audio engine has stopped how do i fix this problemm

    Some more information is needed.
    What audio interface or sound card are you recording/playing back through?

    Im using a presonus 22 VSL  and ive updated it ,restarted my computer reset it up through the preference tab im running out of ideas, nothing seems to work

    What driver mode are you using?
    Have you tried increasing the latency?
    Are you monitoring from SONAR or from the interface?

    i believe im using sonar  nd yea i tried but for some reason it wont let me change the latency

    If you have set up your interface according to these instructions https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/Audio-Hardware-Setup-Guide?audioMake=PreSonus&audioModel=AudioBox+22VSL&product=SONAR+Platinum the ASIO buffer setting is made in the AudioBox VSL software provided by Presonus.

    Best way to get fast resolve is to give us as many details of your set up as possible, otherwise we have to keep asking you questions. 
    Tell us your computer specs, OS and if you have followed instructions for optimizing for recording. Running this app--

    Often tells you if you have too many background apps running which is often the cause of drop outs. 
    Always update all your drivers first. Install the latest ASIO drivers for the Presonus. 
    Double check that it is your timing master and in ASIO mode in Sonars preferances. 
    Latency is adjusted in the Audio interfaces GUI in ASIO mode, not in Sonar.  Set it in safe zone for now. Unless your computer is up to it lower latency settings will cause dropouts too.
