Solved? Lexington is screwing up my individual track exports by combining *takes.

Edit: Okay, so maybe I was doing something stoopid/different with these exports but I'm pretty sure this is how I've done it a million times in the past. In the Export dialog I uncheck all the gobbledygook so that I get a clean export of my tracks without worrying about fiddle faddle (no FX/automation/bus crap/etc). This time though this seems to have made all the clips/takes in the track get exported as well (even though they were muted). So I'll SAY this is my screw up but I could swear something has changed here. Anyway... here is the original post/problem (and I am still having a bunch of other headaches with Lex).

OP:

====================================================================================

I have never had this happen and I've done these types of exports hundreds of times. I have no idea what is going on.

I am trying to export the individual parts I have recorded for someone else. I am using the "Track" export function in the Export dialog... just like I have done over and over and over again for... well quite a while now without problem.

I select the tracks, I go to the export dialog, create my settings and expect to get each track in their own wave.

What is happening is SOME of the tracks are mixdowns of multiple tracks while others are the desired mono, single track mixdowns.

This doesn't make any sense and I am wondering if anyone else has expereinced this. Something screwy is going on here and it is SOOOO totally not the day for this crap.

I am going to try to export the misbehaving tracks on their own but this is a huge pain.

It is quite possible I'm doing something stupid but seriously I have done this incessantly over the past couple years. I ain't seeing anything out of place.

I have also been getting quite a few other annoying oddities since updating to Lex (from Foxboro) too. I'm going to have "rollback" once I have the time or try the other versions.

Oof. Not bein' a trolly b*tch but I am indeed having issues since the update.

Cheers.

Edit: It was indeed combining some or all (or who knows what) takes in the track upon export. THis seems to be due to me disabling certain checkboxes in the Export dialog. Restoring the checkmarks seemed to fix it. I have no idea which one(s) specifically did). I never had to do that before from what I remember but I'm a bit of a bumblefarter.

    Update.

I can now hear what is happening. It is ignoring my "Comping" and lane mutes. So all the clips in the track are being exported instead a "What you Hear" type export.

This possibly ties into a report I was going to make about how the Parent Track is exposing muted clips as opposed to only showing active clips like before (or at least that's how I remember it working).

I think I have a fix for now but damn... waste of time.

    Cheers.

Beware the fiddle faddles. This is one of them: "If you want to exclude muted tracks and/or include only soloed tracks, make sure Track Mute/Solo is checked."
