[Updated, partally solved] Anyone else seeing Cthulu bugginess in Sonar Platinum?
[Update: Since posting, I found that two reboots of my machine solved a major problem I'd written about, so I'm deleting the everything below relevant to that]
[Edited original post]
Hi all
I've just posted some of this on the Cthulu forum, but am asking here too to see if there might be a SPLAT angle...
I used a previous version of Cthulu in X3e, worked without problems. A remarkable plug once you figure out all it does.
Today I tried the latest version of Cthulu in Hopkinton, and noticed that the Transpose function is buggy here. The way it is supposed to work is that if you click the up or down arrow next to Transpose, you change the global Cthulu output by an increment of +/- 1 semitone, up to 24. I tried raising it by 12 semis. No go. As soon a I clicked the up arrow, bizarrely, the value displayed changed from 0 to 2147 (not a typo; see pic below), a number so big it obscures the up / down arrows.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32141817/cthulu%20transposition%20problem.JPG The resultant output does not sound like it's 2,147 semis up (which would be inaudible) but rather 24 semis down. The after 20 seconds or so, the value displayed indeed changes to -24. [Update since being contacted by the dev: Control clicking the value resets it to 0. No other changes accepted, however -- end result, my only transposition options are 0 or -24 semis. :-/
Anyone seen this? Any advice?
The dev (Steve at Xfer -- very responsive guy!) says he will try to reproduce in Sonar. I will report back with any noteworthy news.
