Is it possible to import music lead sheet into Sonar?

To anyone:  Is it possible to import sheet music into Sonar?  Just in case it matters, I own full producer versions of the latest Sonar Platinum and the older Sonar 8.5.

Recently I purchased a full score of symphonic music in hard copy (not digital). It includes the conductor's score plus all of the individual symphonic instrument lead sheets.  Specifically, I would like to be able to scan the lead sheets and import them into Sonar, maybe directly into the staff view if possible.  This way each part could be edited (if necessary) and played back through midi.  I understand if there needs to be an additional piece of software involved such as music annotation or OCR.  If there does, please feel free to recommend the simplest and best (not cheapest).  I simply don't have a ton of extra time right now to type it all in by hand.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I'll throw this out but I may be wrong, and totally surprised.  I thought you could generate scores from Sonar Pro for output only... no way for Sonar to read a "picture"  and convert it.

It is possible. I first scan the music and then use "SharpEye2 to convert it into "Music XML" format. Once it's in XML you can inport it into Sonar. I do this occasional to convert some sheet music into MIDI as a reference.

Depending on the quality of the music the (OCR is not perfect) sometimes I have to use Sibelius and type in the notes. Then I can import XML or MIDI files. Once it's in Sonar in MIDI form, you can edit the music using Sonar's Staff View. It's not in the same league as Sibelius, but then again Sibelius does not compare to Sonar as far as a DAW.
