Viewing Controllers

Is there a setting to keep controllers I open to view open after going to another track and coming back? Not a fan. Each time I leave a track I come back to the plugin control or volume control back to clips view.

Am I the only one this happens to? Or just the only one who is annoyed by it?!? lol
I'd love to know how to get around it...

I'm not sure I understand, because based on what I think I understand, I don't have the same issue. For starters, are you talking about MIDI controllers of audio automation? If MIDI, are you talking about the PRV or the track Notes view?

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!

Hi Craig, Thanks for trying to mine my gibberish, sorry... I am talking about midi automation in tracks/busses. Nodes, nodes. It's 2 fold. 1) when selecting say, volume and working on it - leaving it open (not selecting clips again) and moving to another track. Come right back to it, it reverts to clips view. Secondarily, it randomly opens as lanes like takes. I like that almost less, because they're small even when expanded fully.
I got a crazy mix sent to me where the guy put 2-3 different parts on 1 track - voice, crunch guitar - banjo! Overlapping, making it all but impossible to split out to tracks. So, automation hell to the tune of 6-8 parameters on 1 track. That may be what caused the 'lanes' thing. Thanks for chiming in!
