Hooking up a mono speaker

I have a small mono speaker I want to use with my system. I have a Presonus Central Station. The speaker has a 1/8 mini pin in. It has the ability to be L, R, or Mono.

How do I wire this up so I get a true mono signal? Thanks - Shep

Is the mono speaker powered? If so, you could take one of the headphone outs to drive the mono speaker and switch the mono speaker to Mono.
If not powered, you should take one of the stereo speaker outs.
Just guessing. That unit looks nice.

I need to make sure I'm hearing all the info. I am unsure what cable to use (stereo on one end/mono the other?) Being 1/8 mini pin, I only have 1/4 outs. I need to make sure I'm hearing all the program data. Thanks

If you need to use a stereo line out pair, this cable might work:

If you can use the headphones jack, this cable might work:

FWIW, Hosa cables are available from just about every online audio vendor.

The trick is somewhere in the signal path a stereo signal has to be summed to mono and done properly.
If the speaker has a mono swicth that is possibley going to do it's job.
So a full stereo mix needs to be sent to the speaker first.
The cable is a very common 1/8" TRS to 1/4" pair used by many to run audio from a laptop, iPad or mp3 player. I  get mine from the Music store.

Just as easy and less clutter is change the master output to mono and put your ears closer to one of your regular monitors, or if they have front level control or power sitch, turn one off.

Yes, I LOVE my RANE headphone amp.  I bought it a while ago on ebay used for around $50.00!
