Audio engine stops suddenly
Every time I connect a synth, I get an error that the audio engine stopped unexpectedly. Normally I dismiss the error message and most of the time it works ok after that. It's pointing to a problem of some kind, but since it works, I get to wqork instead of investigating something I have no idea how to fix. But with one of my synths, after I connect it, and get and dismiss the audio engine error, then when I try to load an instrument into it I get a different error message that the Teleport Server has stopped working. After that, nothing seems to work at all, and pretty soon Sonar crashes. What is going on here?

Teleport server is Bitbridge. Is it only 32-bit synths that are causing problems? Which ones? I don't use many 32-bit plugins any more, and I use JBridge for most of them, but I'm not seeing a problem loading anything with Bitbridge.

Having 32-bit third-party plugins loaded in a 64-bit Sonar project can cause MUCHO headaches, with crashes and/or Sonar additionally not releasing from memory upon termination. Many plugins will work just fine, but some just get flaky. Sometimes, if such a condition exists and the Sonar-supplied BitBridge is the bridging software, some folks have reported in the past that picking up the $20 JBridge alternative makes things work better, but this too will sometimes not always make it so that a particular 32-bit plugin will work smoothly/cleanly in a 64-bit Sonar. I am one of those people who use jBridge instead of bitbridge for my handful of 32bit plugins that I can't replace. Never had that issue you mentioned with it.

So I have installed JBridge, and checked a button I found in the Folder defaults for Plug-In properties called "Load using JBridge Manager", but after using my 32-bit plug in for a while I got the same Teleport error message. What do I need to do to make BitBridge not cause this error?

Does something need to happen with a given module and JBridge, to prepare it for use? Bob Bone

I don't know, that's my question.

You go to the properties of the plug in plugin manager and select the use jBridge option for that plug.
