AudioSnap to quantize audio is not working all of a sudden

I've used AudioSnap a fair amount to quantize audio and outside of the kinda warbly sound it gives the track it's nice.  I just switched from X1 32 bit to X1 64 bit so I could load the Dimension Pro synth and now AudioSnap is not working, or at least not working the way I remember.

I select "Audio Transient" on the track and then bring up the AudioSnap palette.  Settings look fine.  I don't hear the warbling or the time adjustment.  If I right-click on the track, Quantize is grayed out as Groove Quantize.  Not sure if it's always been that way.

Is there something I'm forgetting to do?  AudioSnap seemed to be getting pretty easy to use for me...

Here's a screen capture nugget from 64 bit SONAR X1 with AudioSnap not working.  Not how transient markers do not show any indications of time delta.

Here's a similar nugget of SONAR X1 32 bit *with* AudioSnap working as expected.  The transient markers have the little left/right indication showing which way they've been moved.

What might I be missing to enable the audio quantize that I use more than I care to admit?

I'll post a separate thread asking about site search, but if I go to bing.com and search:

    site:forum.cakewalk.com audiosnap not working

I get some good results with folks saying there are bugs with AudioSnap in X1.  AudioSnap was working fine in 32 bit X1 but when I installed 64 bit it's not working.

I've got them "side by side" which I'd read somewhere worked.  A quick look at an old 32 bit project in 32 bit SONAR suggests AudioSnap is still working in that system.

Are there known issues with "side by side"?

32 bit can't find some plug-ins anymore and I've done a bunch of stuff in the 64 bit one using 64 bit plugs (ezDrummer etc) so I hate to try to go back.

I think Dimension Pro was the only major thing that forced me into 64 bit.

I just like to occasionally make a little music, not wrestle with computer issues...

Don't mean to keep spamming this thread but I want to provide all info possible.

It seems like AudioSnap itself is working as I can manually drag transients and hear it moving them and the UI displays the familiar left/right indicators.  But the auto-quantize thing is not functioning and I'm not really inclined to go thru the entire project and try to manually align the transients.

One last update on this: I opened the project in X1 32 bit and AudioSnap works as I recall.  I selected the Audio Transients view on the track, select Process --> Quantize and life is good.

So I guess I'll forego Dimension and revert to using the 32 bit install.

You may wonder why I have a 32 bit install on a 64 bit machine and OS: I'm frankly not sure but I remember trying a bunch of stuff when I upgraded trying to get audio to behave.

P.S. Holy moly, I loaded the project in 64 bit again and it sees the AudioSnap quantized transients.  So maybe I'll do a Frankenstein thing of doing my quantizing in 32 and going back to 64 to do everything else.  That offends my sensibilities, but hey, compared to what we used to do with patch cables in the 80s...
