What happened to the sound?

In SONAR 3, in the midi view, How come we cannot listen to the note(s) or chords when clicking on it? The only thing I can do for listening is to use the play button.
I have not use midi for years so I did not miss it, but now I do for  new project. I looked everywhere for a tool. I used to compose and listen right after I made a change.. also going over slower using the mouse (back & forth actually).... So easy and fast.
So? I may not looking at the right place? What happened to it?

Thank you.
Fernando.

I just fired up X3e Producer (it's been a long time) and clicking on notes in the PRV does produce the sound of whatever it is.

The other thing are you talking about the scrub tool ? if so you hold down 'j' and either drag across an audio file or in the timeline I think.
