Sonar and Joystick...

Having installed Sonar on a revamped computer I have found that I have completley forgotten how I implemented a gaming joystick to control some aspects of soft synths... i.e the control pad in alchemy and other synths..
Done a search of the forum and found some pointers.. but Not sure if I actually used third party programs!!

I can set up the joystick as a controller using Act. and I can activate joystick control in Zeta..

But I'm really confused with this since it was a cool way of recording automation for some of these synths.
