This is a must watch. Hard to believe what can come from a 2 chord riff.

bowie had great vision... visconti helped him put it into tangible means i don't like everything bowie ever did.. but there are things he did, that are some of my favorite musical moments rip DB (DJ)

I love this video, i could watch this stuff all day. I saw an interview with Bowie once, where he said the musical side of the song originated with him ripping off The Velvet Undreground's "I'm Waiting For The Man."

Thanks for that, although I've researched this track extensively for various courses...I learn't some new stuff. I think all budding audio engineers and producers should research this sort of stuff...it would go a long way to solving the boring music that we have today. Nice one Mr.B. Ben

I agree it was interesting too but there was a glaring problem. The main output from that mixer should have been pumped straight onto that video soundtrack and mixed with Tony's mic rather than just relying on a room mic to pick up the audio from the main speakers. Audio engineers need to be a slave to high fidelity at all times! Good that you hear it at the end but it would have been nice to hear the stuff along the way better.

Spot on Jeff Evans! I was thinking the same thing as I listened to the video through my AKG 240Ks....it would have been nice to hear the isolated tracks with pristine clarity.... Great video though...very informative. I wish these types of shows were available when I started out in music....
