Removing silence

At the end of my current project, after the last recorded bit, the song keeps playing silence for an additional 3 minutes. I'm puzzled, as I didn't record anything after the last measure. I'm new to Sonar Artist, still learning my way about. There actually is a Remove Silence process, but I can't tell that it pertains to this problem. Any ideas?
Mark

any automation that runs past the end (say a volume envelope) will cause the engine to keep going until it reaches that last node.

Have you got 'stop at project end' checked?

Bat, nope, no automation.
James, that one's new to me. Where do I find that feature? (Of course I could open it up and LOOK for myself  I suppose)

If it's the same in Artist as in Professional, it's in the 'options' drop down menu, which is between 'view' and 'tracks'

Edit - Just as easy to do a pic;

Beautiful. Thanks, James, you're a pal. There's a lot of new stuff, compared to SHS, and the things I remember are located in different place. Just have to spend some time with it.

Yeah, it's taking me some time to get my head around too, I went from Sonar 8 to Professional last year, skipping all the X series. Some very cool stuff once you start drilling down into it.

A hint... in a track... if there's a series of dots in the center of the track, (.................)  it indicates there's something else out to the right.   Could be a clip you recorded or edited and moved there for the time being.... More than once the time line kept going.... and I'd forgotten I'd moved a clip out past the end of the project's audio.

I wonder if you're minority? :o)
The Project I'm working on just forgot its end yesterday, and started playing back to eternity.
The only thing that could've caused it was archiving a track and muting another.
That quirk of SONAR will surely remain a mystery to me. I'm glad it's such a small and harmless one.

All of the four projects I have sort of under work now play back forever, but do get exported correctly
even though I don't select anything in the timeline. And I've checked the event list...nothing after the end of last clips.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

Kalle is an honorific, is it not?  To indicate respect?  Like Mr. in English. Just curious. I've only seen it in context reading Swedish authors

Oh no. It's just one version of Karl, Carl, Charles. It can be used both as a nick name for those mentioned or a christian name.
