Hey Roger, I wasn't crazy about the song (not my style, that's all) but I think the sound was terrific -- I heard a little 60s garage, what seemed to me to be some slight Ozzy type phrasing and sound on the vocals, some Psychedelic Furs on the chorus sounds and a cookin' lead guitar.  Also, the bass sounded good.  At first I was a little confused because it sounded as if the mix was in mono but while listening I began to like that aspect. A good job on getting the vocals to stand out in the mix, too.  All in all a good listen :)

Sounds real good. Didn't remind me of any band I know. Mix was good IMO.

Lots of influences in this, but it sounds unique. Nice mix of synths and old fashioned rock. Mix sounds pretty good, love the lead. Vocals are in the pocket. All in all, I can't think of anything I'd change.

A comment with references to Ozzy is a great honour, and a surprise.
Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment Allan.

Good song Roger - I am listening on crappy computer speakers but I'll have a proper listen later. Mix levels sound spot on though.

Ditto to the above - the individual parts seem fairly straightforward but the way they're put together is somewhat unique.   I like it.

Oh...  and the solo at the end was pretty cool BTW.

Thanks for the reply . Yes there's nothing special with the parts, but I'm pretty satisfied with the end result. It was a very ordinary song when I started recording it.

I filmed the recording of the guitarsolo with my phone, so if it's of any interest you can view it here on youtube

I got a late 80's hair band with Steve Miller singing - only much much better than that description makes it sound. The mix for me has a nice late 80's feel, roomy snare and all. The bass and guitar tones do a good job in driving it. Mix highlights are the panned wide power chords (I think they are panned wide?) - and when the synth lead comes in, pretty crystal clear on my speakers!

Guitar solo is hella cool, to keep my comments in line with the era.

My only real observation, just a preference, is I think your chorus lyrics had a few too many words going on. A little hard to edit that at this point, and it's definitely your preference as a songwriter anyway.

    Liked your tune very much!

Thank you Tom. I can agree on the lyrics. English is not my native language  (as you probably can hear), and I could have done a better job with the vocal or edited a bit

Some of the sounds and playing in this song reminds me of the type of synth dance rock that was popular in the 80 's mixed in with a little bit of the big hair rock guitar sounds...
FWIW, I liked a lot of that music from back then because it was dance able and it had interesting synth textures ...
Guitars sound good ...turn up that Wah Wah ....hehhe

really enjoyed this tune...very different and catchy....I'd like to hear the vox come up a bit and one of the guitar tones kinda muddied the mix a bit...but I love the phrasing and vox work....I might not use the high bvox all the way thru but that's just me...

yea something is really making this sound too hot...really taking away from the mix...but man great lead

fix the distortion and bring the tune up more than a few pegs...

    good job!!

    Thanks for your comments
You're right about the distortion in the mix.
The mixing/mastering was done in a poor listening enviroment, so I had big problems with the sound. But I must also blame my lack of experience.
It came to a point where I was just tweaking but couldn't get it better so I said "f*** it", and upploaded the song. Maybe I'll try to do a new mix later.

I heard some KISS here as well, maybe it was the bass line?

    Lol, this sounds very familiar.
I think the mix is really good, though. Maybe I would have put up the vocals a tiny bit. Sweet sounding synth/guitar solo!
