Positive Manchester update thread

So while updating...I reviewed the "comp" video and a tad of the REmatrix video...and my Sonar was completely updated before I finished watching.  Yes...I had a thank you screen (above the VST scan balloon), thanking me for the renewal and I noticed CCC loads instantly now as well.  Sonar does seem peppier and running thru a couple of different sessions, all seems fine. Left my Melodyne Editor 2 untouched for now.
This for me has been so painless with the updates, and they happen in a matter of minutes.
Thanks Cake for your wonderful software and efforts to keep improving.  Happy Camper.

Same here......as usual the upgrade went as smooth as can be with no problems so far.  I also left my Melodyne Editor 2 alone and did not process the included Melodyne Upgrade.  Thanks Bakers!  Another job well done!

I did the Melodyne 4 upgrade. The Universal Algorithm is pretty sweet. Make sure you get the latest version, though.

I'm holding off, because I feel Essential 4 is a downgrade over Editor 2.  Maybe before the 4/30 deadline with Celemony, I'll upgrade, but don't feel the need for now.

I'd certainly recommend it if you can, though I would go with the Studio version instead of Editor while the sale is still intact ($126 vs. $99).  While there are only a handful of differences between Editor and Studio, those differences can be fairly major depending on your usage: - multi-track view/editing, quantize to ref track and Sound Editor: http://www.celemony.com/en/melodyne/editions-and-technical-matters

Back to the OP - smooth sailing as usual getting everything installed.   I am curious to try out the new Aux Track/Patch Point solo enhancements!

I've had zero problems.  I really have been surprised that some people have been having cpu spikes since Lexington, because in my case performance seems enhanced.

Oh and Stevec, dang it you've made me really, really, really want to upgrade to Melodyne Studio.  Rats!

I am very tempted now to move up to Melodyne Editor after updating from 2 Essential to 4. The Universal is very nice! My problem is I have only used pitch correction 2 or 3 times the whole time I have had that feature. I'm old school. I try to get a performance that sounds real and soulful rather than fixing every little wart.

I'm not sure why , but after opening a song I was working on in Lexington in Manchester I had 2 crashes ...
Some sort of problem reporter came up and I said yeah send it ...that was it ...
I didn't give it much thought even though I lost a bunch of edits ....they weren't keepers anyway
Ever since that happened every thing else has been smooth .
I may need to learn the new features ...aside from that  ,I think Manchester seems to be a little more perkier than Lexington on the machine I upgraded ....

I should have mentioned I have an unfair advantage...the version of SONAR on my laptop is "stock," so it had Melodyne Essential and went up to 4. My desktop is still running Editor 2. I do this so if I need to know exactly what someone is experiencing with "out of the box" SONAR, I can test it on the laptop. The desktop does the heavy lifting. This also allows testing in two different environments. However, I'll likely upgrade the desktop to 4 at some point.
