I don't care about documentation - I care about the fact that people make a big deal of how we should use the bug reporter but nobody is reading the damn things. I'm just glad I didn't waste more of my time trying to report bugs.

Nobody is reading the damn things - but the bug gets fixed. Maybe they have a Oiuja board?

Are you sure it still works the way you described?

No, I'm not sure, because I stopped paying for membership when I saw I wasn't getting anything worthwhile out of it.

how do you know it hasn't been fixed yet then ?

This is why I grabbed lifetime updates. I can hope that things will get better before I die.

Things often get fixed by accident in software, but it does show that we're wasting our time filing reports, and that Cakewalk apparently don't care about them.

By accident? LOL. (Not even a Ouija) You're pissed off and I get that. But man - enjoy your new DAW - please.

The list of fixes in the eZine provide incontrovertible proof that a) Cakewalk reads bug reports from users, and b) Cakewalk has fixed many of these user-identified bugs.

You can complain that the particular bugs you submitted aren't fixed, or that the pace is not satisfactory to you. But given that bugs reported by users do in fact get fixed, drawing the conclusion that it's a waste of time to file reports because Cakewalk doesn't care about them has no basis.

It's quite clear that they're obviously not going through the reports as they come in. Most likely they pick what to fix based on some other criteria, and then maybe look through the bug database later to see what matched that. Either way, it's pretty inexcusable to encourage people to submit bugs through a dedicated error reporter only to leave them completely unread for 6 months.
