Write Automation forAmplitude Plug-in?

I want to turn an effects pedal on and off but it does not get the red handles around the button.
Anybody done this before.  I do see a generic list of parameters under Write button/Automation/Amplitude2/Parm 1 -13

You have to go in to Amplitube and set what controller number controls the parameter. Then set an Automation lane to that control number. I have to get off of here right now but try looking around the parameter settings page in Amplitube and I will check back later to see if you still need help.

Sonar Platinum, Sonar X3e, Sonar X2a , Sonar X1 Expanded and 8.5.3 (32 and 64 bit), Windows 10 on a Toshiba P75-A7200 Laptop with i7 @ 2.4 quad and 8 gigs of RAM and secondary WD 1 Tb drive, Windows 10 desktop, Asus i5 @ 3.2 quad, 12 gigs RAM, 1 Tb drive, 1 500 gig drive, MOTU 24io, 2 Roland Studio Captures, Saffire 6 USB for laptop, Soundtracs Topaz Project 8 mixer, Alesis Monitor 2s, Event BAS 20/20s, Roland Micro-Monitor BA-8s, and 45 years worth of collecting FX, Mics, Amps, Guitars, and Keyboards!

Pull up Amplitube and open the MIDI settings page (under the Master Volume Out control). In there you will find the Parameter settings page. One is for general use and one is for Program changes. That is where your Learn button is located so you can set that. The only thing I would think about it not reading the automation is if you have the R button disabled on the Automation lane.

Perfect.....Exactly what I needed....thank you so much!
Maybe a little easier.....
Right-click on top of the AmpliTube 3 parameter that you are going to assign to Automation and assign it to a paramer in the list.

I would advise to use the way I described because those parameters are saved when you save that instrument or amp program. Sometimes when you do it the quick way for some reason Amplitube does not remember the parameter setting. This has happened to me on several occasions. It does work both ways. Just depends on if you want it to remember the setting. Glad I could help!
