hi,

Sad, sad, sad .... so much great music ...

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

He was involved in some good music. My favorite was Blows Against The Empire. I read somewhere and never could find the quote again of someone saying, Slick I imagine, "It is a fresh wind that blows against the empire". I thought it was on the cover or the insert but one day I looked and could not find it. I don't think I dreamed it up but it is lost to me. Anyway, good work.
RIP.

when I first heard Somebody to Love and White Rabbit I knew music had changed and it wasn't going back. It wasn't Freddie and the Dreamers' rock and roll anymore.

It's Bass, not Bass.

Hi,

More importantly than anything else, it gave credence to the fact that youngsters were also intelligent and literary and that pop music could have more to it, than just idiotic songs.

This kinda stuff, along with the Beatles at the time was important, and helped make the music better, and more valuable. Sadly, nowadays, this is wasted, and no one cares anymore.

I think the David Crosby album, If I could Only Remember My Name (and Blows A T E) both came out of the same sessions, but I'm not certain. Then there are the tapes from the sessions that are out there in several different lengths. It was probably the epitome of the SF psychedelic sound.
One of these days Crosby will die again. I'm glad he could afford a new liver, it seems it has served him well.
Strange Daze indeed.

I saw Starship around this time last year. Third year in a row as it happens, the final Starship lineup was very good live indeed, especially in a small club.

Paul looked quite frail the last time compared to previous years, even took a short mid-set break. Still sang and played fine though. A unique voice.

Seem to be seeing a lot of people on what turns out to be their last or near to last tours. Only one where someone was widely known to be terminally ill was Wilko Johnson's farewell tour, which eventually turned out not to be anything of the sort, thankfully.
