More SONAR glitches

I just posted on a thread concerning midi editing and system crashes (which still isn't fixed after many years) but the workaround is saving your project often (CNTL S).

Another glitch (to which I have no workaround), is editing envelops in track view.  And I think this only happens in the BUSS area of the TV.  That is, I select on area of one track and move the envelop up or down and other buss tracks envelopes get changed (not my intention). This does not happen all the time and it appears random.  Not sure if this glitch has gotten any attention on the forum but I thought I might bring this up in hope that somebody has figured out why this happens and has a workaround that will reset this behavior back to normal.

I have also had this happen. I want to copy a bus envelope to another bus and things get weird. I can't exactly recall what happens, but as I recall, other non-target bus envelopes are also changed to the copied envelope, almost as if you selected all the buses and did a mass edit.

    Hi,
    I can reproduce this.

Selecting the range between two nodes of an envelope on a bus results in selecting the same range of all the same envelopes on subsequent buses, if:
    Envelopes are visible (not hidden)
    and
not on automation lanes (automation lanes = off).

If other members experience the same behaviour, it could be a bug.
A workaround would be using automation lanes for buses.

    Best,
    Klaus

Wasn't this supposed to have been fixed in the second Manchester release?

That was a different issue relating to enabling write automation on a given parameter - and it has been fixed.

**I just successfully copied a bus envelope and pasted it into several more busses without issue.**

Pretty sure this is by design if you want to use the same time range but to adjust whatever it is you're adjusting  by different amounts

Could be. But I didn't expect that is is by design, because it's different with tracks.

    With Move-Tool:

Tracks: A click on an envelope between two nodes selects the range of this envelope only.

Buses: Clicking on an envelope between two nodes selects the range of all envelopes of the same kind on all buses.
(this doesn't happen if envelopes are on automation lanes or hidden).

Just skimmed over the helpfile but didn't find a mention of different behavior between tracks and buses regarding editing of envelopes, but maybe I overlooked it.

Just checked this as I recently thought I had similar issues but unable to duplicate your problem per your description (running Manchester).

In my case, I selected a bus to edit an envelope and it automatically selected -all- envelopes for that bus. Not sure how this is useful, but requires taking care to deselect/re-select the specific automation lane (confirm per highlighted blue box to hard left of the lane). It did not select any automation for any other bus.

Editing envelopes seems to be a bit inconsistent when selecting full range and/or ranges between nodes. It generally works the first time, others the 'selection mode" seems a bit fickle.

Any correlation with your issue and the selected region displayed in the timeline?

To be clear, my issue whire in TRACK VIEW is editing a buss envelop (volume automation) and my mouse movement (raising or lowering the envelop bar) moves all the VOLUME envelopes even though the track I am editing is the onlye one selected.  Like I said, this is random but since I know about it I watch the other buss tracks and if I see them move with my edit, I quickly CNTL Z to undo and then have to manually reselect the buss track to edit again and it seems to work.
