Suddenly, Session Drummer 3 and Addictive Drums 2 Won't Freeze!

This is a strange one...

This happened only in one song and installing extra iterations of these solved it...? They freeze fine in my other projects as well as this one after I replaced them with themselves...

First... I'm using them both together... Kick from one and remaining kit from the other...

It's always been a pain needing to freeze unused outputs as well as used... But I recently discovered that if I delete the extea output/tracks, it worked fine without needing the other outputs rendered... So I've been going through current projects cleaning this up when I came upon this...

I had each plugins extra outputs in a folder and archived... I deleted the folder including the tracks within... Then clicked freeze and neither would freeze, so I undid the delete and they still wouldn't freeze? I was thinking it might have been related to the archive status so I unarched and they still wouldn't freeze...

All other soft synths in the project freeze fine...

So, I added another iteration of each (SD3/AD2) and painstakingly copied all settings... These new iterations froze fine and my project is fina after all the extra editing, freezing and deleting...

So, there is no emergency, but I'm trying to understand. Though they wouldn't freeze, they played fine... All freeze settings are the same as I always have... I checked for archived teacks as well as silent outputs and properly assigned inputs tho the soft synth outs...

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks!
Keni

Sometimes some of my VSTs won't freeze after i have been working in a project too long.  A buffer thing i guess.  I exit out and 1st thing is I freeze those VSTs.  If i do any editing they won't freeze again.   hopefully that is the same issue you have.

    Thanks Jimbo...

I haven't run into this before, but I'm finding that I must rebuild all my songs in which I deleted the unused outputs. None of them will allow a re-freeze no matter what I do, but inserting a new iteration of the synth and not deleting the unused outputs brings me back to working ok... But waiting for all the unused outs to freeze is a major pain in the butt!
