VST crashes Sonar

I'm trying to run the Radio Active 1.0.1 VST in Sonar 8.  The stand-alone version runs, but if I try to use it as a VST in Sonar, it crashes Sonar and forces me to reboot the computer to get running again.  Any ideas?

That plugin appears to have been created as a hobby project by some amateur developer, most likely developed using the notoriously crash-prone SynthEdit. You may just be out of luck, I'm afraid.

Did the plugin ever work for you in the past, or are you just trying it out now?

Seems to me it did once work because I used it on a music project a few years ago, but I have migrated to a new computer since then.

Perhaps it is a 32-bit plugin and you are running 64-bit Sonar?

Try running SONAR as administrator. Some old plug-ins require access to resources requiring elevated privileges in newer versions of Windows. I do not recall a plug-in crashing SONAR as a result of insufficient privileges though.

    Nope.  Both are 32-bit.

Already running it as administrator.  *shrug*
