iZotope Vinyl (free) - updated to 64-bit!

Now you should be able to switch warp models without having to use the Direct X version.... I love this tool. Not only for adding scratches and crackles but the "year" selector is a great way to instantly change the character of an instrument to make it sit in the mix better. And now it has a "spin down" feature to simulate the sound of a record slowing down!

cool beans. I was looking for this about 2 months ago and was bummed it no longer existed. I had used it years ago on another computer. Initially it seems a little glitchy but will experiment further.

I got the free serial # instantly and cut/paste in my first instance of using it to authorize. Like I said, without any increase on any of the vinyl parameters, it was still a tad glichy...In a worst case, just made it more realistic! I'll fuss with buffer size etc later.

I downloaded it but it was causing some audio dropouts when increasing the number of scratches. Maybe my buffer size was too low? In any case, the rest worked great. The spin down feature is really cool. I'm guessing we'll be hearing that all over the place in the next few months!

There's not only a 64 bit VST 2 version but VST 3 as well. If you're having problems you can't resolve, maybe try VST 2 instead of 3 or vice versa.

Although I had a devil of a time getting it installed...it kept hanging up on the "c+++" part...glad I finally did. Love the new spin down feature!

We will need to have a contest. Since everyone loves the spin down effect we need to see who can use it in the most creative way. I'm waiting for the first time I hear it on the radio.
