##SOLVED## Advice please: How to start Windows 10 without a password?
In the past, I've never used a password to start Windows, but I can't seem to find out how to remove this necessity in Windows 10. I have actually managed to change the log-in so I enter a PIN instead of my full password, but ideally I'd like Windows to open without me having to input either a PIN or a password (or any other security method). If I remember correctly, to remove the need for a password in Windows 7 and previous versions, one simply had to open the 'Change Password' dialogue, enter one's current password but then leave the 'New Password' field/s empty before confirming. If I try to do this in Win 10, I get this message: Any ideas? Edit to change thread title to 'solved'

I don't see any reason so password-protect my home PC, but when Win10 forced that on me, at least I was given the choice to use my MS Live/MS Office subscription account login credentials. So, at least I get two logins for the price of one. My guess is that it's required because of the wonderful (if you want it)/irritating (if you don't) OneDrive cloud storage app that Win10 "gives" you for free.

Hi, One login, and I can use it on my computers, however I have disabled the "One Drive" stuff ... I'm not a fan of Microsoft sniffing around ...

I don't know what I did when I installed W10 (I'm terrible at this stuff) but I don't log in with a PIN or password now, it just goes straight to the desktop. However, I am obviously logged in, because it 'knows' me.

There are settings under user accounts and also in power management. You can have it ask for a password when waking up after a snooze. I've never been asked for a password and I don't use them in Windoze cause I has been stoopid in the paste and four got how to get back in.
