Getting Synths to play midi note not within its Range

I load a midi file  an then assign the bass in RP and out of midi to RP but it wont play some low notes  as some are not within the mapping  range of that sample.
I see on here where they say raise the track by an octave in Inspector  but I don't see that option .
I do see  it in Event Inspector on my control panel and the  Pitch option but what is the easy way to manage raising the midi  track by an Octave.
I tried +12 but it  throws all bass midi notes into a single line.
Is there another way to get the synth to play all notes.
Playback in midi under Preferences is at  2000 so that should not be an issue.

    1. Select the midi track of RP or if using SIT select that
    2. Press the I key the Inspector should revel itself to the left of the track view
    3. Look to bottom of the right hand strip with the snap to scale and arpeggiator detail.
    4. There is a little slider marked Key+ slide that to the right + 12 that will raise all the notes by 12 semi tone.

    Or

    1. Select the Midi track
    2. Process menu > Transpose
    3. In the dialogue amount box type 12
    4. Click OK

That will raise all the notes by 12 semitones.

What patch in Rapture Pro are you using?  might be able to extend the note rang in there if it is only a couple of extra notes.

If the program uses sfz files, then the MIDI note to sample mapping is in those files. edit the sfz file to extend the range a sample plays.

For example, in the Rapture Pro Factory Library, Bass Guitars type, program Jazz Bazz loads "Acoustic Upright mf fx.sfz" in element 1.

The first sample defined in this sfz is
    <region> sample=Acoustic Upright Bass\Acb1_sft_D1_01.flac key=d2 lokey=bb1 hikey=d#2 tune=-6

This instruction maps the sample "Acoustic Upright Bass\Acb1_sft_D1_01.flac" to bb1 through d#2. Change the lokey value to extend the range lower. Then save the sfz with a new name and change the Jazz Bazz program to use the new sfz. If it sounds OK "save as" Jazz Bazz with a new name.

     Your solution worked.
I am using Full Fingered 1 from the D-Pro Library. Is your  method the same as scook?

The two methods are different. Which one to use depends on what you want the MIDI data to do.
The key+ and transpose functions in SONAR change the pitch of the MIDI data to play within the existing program
Extending the sfz file will change the program to play the notes as shown.
