strange behavior converting audio to MIDI - Platinum

Recording chorale parts in audio (trombone) to drag them to a string quartet.

When I drag the first part to a midi track (EW violin), the data shows up, and the notes within the violin's range sound. Then when i transpose the MIDI notes up to be in the violin range, I get no output at all, even those the data is still present. Also, the input to the MIDI track changes from "none" to "Omni" even though "none" is still checked in the drop down box.

the audio tracks are unaffected.

"Always Echo Current MIDI Track" is enabled in Preferences > MIDI > Playback and Recording

Did you try playing back before the midi transpose?  May be the EW Violin is pre transposed!

    scook,

that choice is checked - did you mean to uncheck it to fix the problem?
