NYC thought the WTC was on fire tonight.
Turns out it was just "steam from the AC system." I tell you, it sure looked like a fire to me from the West Village. It looked like flickering flames with smoke. The fire looked really big and bright. Actually the smoke didn't look that smoky, but along with the flickering lights it sure looked like a fire. Here's a crappy zoomed in night photo I took from around 11th st and 6th Avenue:
It's way in the distance of course but you get the idea. I see this thing every night and I've never seen this before, and neither have people been hitting Twitter and saying the WTC's on fire like they were tonight. Someone took a video and it's on the Daily News site.....now would you or would you not think "hmm, that doesn't look right" if you walked past the WTC and saw this?
