Yeah the Pensado interview is well worth watching. I usually get bored halfway through interviews but that was one I watched all the way through. He seems like a great guy, the kind of otherworldly hippie you'd want to get blazed with and peruse his record collection 

i had to look him up *shudders*

as far back as 2007, folks like Tchad Blake, Charles Dye, Mike Shipley, George Massenburg, Ken Lewis...
have been mixing in the box.
 
just a bunch of folks.
 
 
 
and those of us with lesser bank accounts,
have been mixing in the box from the very beginning...
and all along the way, i could not understand why someone would want to out of analog gear, into digital, out of digital, back into analog, out of analog and back into digital at the mastering end.....

the ONE thing andrew talks about that i agree with completely,
and feel that he is way late to the table on this one,
is the qualithy of the D/A
having good front end is great....
and having good skills, and good software is great......
but having the highest quality conversion, is the best.
and $1,000 usb interfaces is never going to get you there.

and this is what separates the pro sound from the 'not pro' sound, to me.
