Is it class compliant? Does it need to have a driver installed?
If so have you installed the driver?
Is it visible as a hardware device within Windows device manager?

I think my computer needs a reset. All kinds of foolishness is going on. It's definitely the irig that holds up SPLAT at the splash screen though. I unplug it in order to proceed, then plug it back in. SPLAT asks me if I want to use irig, I click yes, everything works as it should.

Are you plugging it into a usb2 or usb3 port? I have mine in a usb2 port with no issues.

I can confirm that this is a real bug. I reset my PC, did fresh install of SPLAT, it still does it.

Would it be possible for you to provide specifications of your PC, audio interface, what driver model you are using and the buffer sizes of that model. Thank you.

I have: Phenom x4 3.5 ghz on a msi AMD3 MB, 12 gb ram, tascam 2x2, 1024 buffer Windows x64 10, SPLAT. I have the latest driver for the 2x2. I just did a reset and reinstall of sonar. My biggest latency problem has always been USB.sys and I've read that's a big problem for a lot of people. But it might mean that I have lousy usb ports (?)

Now Sonar wont open at all, not even to the splash screen, with the irig plugged in or not. It's a brand new installation!

It may still be running. Look in the Windows process list in the task manager.

So I found an orphan sonar.exe process which I shut down. Started up sonar and it didn't recognize any audio devices and said about my irig *not enough memory*.

reboot Which begs the question are you in the habit of using sleep/hibernate or do you shutdown and cold start the machine.

scook, that's an interesting diagnosis. Because, I turn off all my hibernate/sleep bs everytime I reset or reinstall, except I forgot this time and it hibernated last night.

So the irig thing persists. I have another problem of crackles even with 2048 buffers. There's an offending windows process that appears related to updates which I assume will simmah down after my new install finishes updating (?) It's all so complex I don't know how Sonar builders can sleep at night.

This continues to be a problem, even after a windows 10 reset. Can't open SPLAT with IRIG37 connected. I have to disconnect, SLAT opens, I reconnect and SPLAT asks if I want to use IRIG37 as a midi device. I click yes, however it's not useable in that session. :D
