Help with audio snap !!!

I went to my media and selected sample magic. I pulled a sample wave from (sound track and chill). I wanted to use audio snap to work with the transients and timing to make it flow better with my beat. So I double click the track, press (a) to bring up audio snap. turn on audio snap. then goto the track and select audio transients. No markers come up. This is my first time using audio snap, researched on line and cant find a resolution. I am using sonar X2. If someone could help. That would be amazing. You guys are always amazing. Thanks again.

If the sample is already a loop, you won't be able to apply Audiosnap to it. You'll have to Bounce to Clips first to make it a normal WAV file.

I don't remember if the Sample Magic content includes both loops and one-shots, but if you're selecting a loop then that would be the problem - it's an either/or situation with looping (Acidized) and Audio Snap since both can't control the same audio at the same time.

+1 to the above.

Quick FYI, in case you haven't stumbled across these, is chapters 37-40 of the SWA Complete SONAR X2 are on AudioSnap specifically. The chapter listing of the contents of that series can be referenced in this post. A large portion of the content of that video series is still applicable and a good reference to bookmark.

ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.
