Sonar Platinum Default Metronome Setting

Just wondering if anyone knows how to doctor the registry / ini files or whatever to set the default (not the per-project) metronome setting. That is, I would like the setting to default to this for each new project: (see attached pic)

I do primarily studio audio recording and it's just a minor irritation to have to go to Preference/Project/Metronome each time to uncheck "record". It seems to me this used to be a default setting in earlier versions of Sonar. Thanks for whatever help you might have.

I have been caught many times by the metronome being set on by default (annoying!).  One solution is to modify the default templates, or whichever one/s you use when creating new projects, to have the metronome off by default.  I'd just change it in the Control Bar.

Open the template in Sonar (templates are normally in "Cakewalk Content\SONAR Platinum\Project Templates" and you may have to set the file type to "Cakewalk Template" to see the ones that are there), edit to your liking, then save.

Thanks for reminding me to do something I've been meaning to do for quite some time.

Yes, there is no ini or registry setting. Setting per-project defaults like the metronome are done in the project templates. The actual location of the templates found in Preferences > File > Folder Locations.

Thanks, y'all... that's what I've done... altered my "basic" project. Strangely, though, all the templates I've examined so far have "record" set -- even "blank project". Am I wrong that earlier version had a "global" setting for this? (I've been using Cakewalk since the VERY early days... however, it doesn't seem like a distant memory, but at my age, there's just NOW and THEN!)

All good... thanks.

I also thought it was global - huh? - Guess I changed my favorite template long ago and forgot about it.
