Autoscroll?

According to the Music Creator 7 help files the drop-down "Options" menu in Track view should have a "Click Behavior" option. Mine doesn't - this is all I have in the list:

Auto Crossfade
Crossfade type
----------------------
Select track envelopes with clips
On stop, rewind to now marker
Stop at project end

I really would like to have the scroll option on recording and/or playback - can anyone help please?
I have tried reinstalling but the problem remains ...

Thanks in advance

Not sure what version of MC you are using. Do you have a link to the page detailing the Options menu? Here is the help for MC7 track view menu which shows the correct Options menu information https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Music%20Creator%207&language=3&help=Views.02.html

"Click Behavior" is a SONAR Options menu item.

Have you tried toggling the scroll lock key on the keyboard?

Now I feel stupid ...   I was reading the Sonar help by mistake.

Yes, I've tried toggling the scroll lock key but unfortunately it does nothing. I'm using Music Creator 7 and keeping it up-to-date with Command Center.
Hard to believe but maybe there is no scroll function in this program?

By the way, thanks for your prompt reply

If edits are made when the transport is running the auto scroll stops until right-clicking in the top half of timeline.

I'm afraid haven't got that far yet - I just want to be able to use the scroll function as default for recording/playback, as I used to do way back when with Cubase SX.

This is from the offline help files installed with Music Creator 7:

    "To enable/disable auto scroll lock:
Click the Track view Options menu, point to Click Behavior and choose Left Click Locks Scroll on the sub-menu",

which doesn't, as far as I can see, exist.  I'm stumped ...

It is a remnant of the SONAR documentation used to create the MC7 doc. The local help is a reformatted version of the web based help. I suspect the MC7 page you are referring to is http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Music%20Creator%207&language=3&help=Arranging.18.html. The option does not exist MC7 as noted in the link in msg#2 above. "Arranging.18.html" needs to be updated for MC7.

Thanks for your patience. I've written to product support to see what they have to say but I have seen a post from someone with the same problem (Music Creator 6) and it turned out to be, as you mentioned in your first reply, the computer keyboard's Scroll Lock button. The keyboard I'm using is both Spanish and old so maybe that's the problem. We'll see.

    Thanks once again

Sorted - the keyboard was faulty.
