New Song. In the Presence of Cash
Hi Everybody, I just finished this tune today. It's a bit unusual and I don't know how to describe it. I mostly write country and americana tunes but this one got the rock goin for me. Anyway, please let me know how the mix is before I share with the public. Thanks! https://soundcloud.com/ka...n-the-presense-of-cash

You have a wonderful singing voice and that guitar was a great addition. The mix seems just a tad congealed in the low mids. Easy fix to notch out the rumble. Great song!

I've listened a few times. I really like this - that guitar with the accents is a perfect piece of chording. Vocal is wonderful as well - I can't quite explain what it reminds me of (in a good way) - sort of a Waylon / Neil Diamond hybrid. Lyrics are super. Nice groove as well - a good song.

I didn't read the other comments... I really liked the percussion elements in this -- very creative. And, the guitars were well done with very interesting effects. Vocal sounded good and everything was mixed very well. Good to go I'd say :) Allan ====

Great song Tom and great performance - I LOVE that bassline. It sounds a little muddy hear and there - I think it may be the percussion just needs the slightest eq.

I have to agree with Manny - there is a bit of a Neil Diamond thing happening, particularly when you hold out notes with vibrato, but it still has a sorta country feel. Cool. Mix-wise I agree with Daryl (again) that some EQ cutting may help clear things up in the mids/lower mids. Oh, and loved the "group" vocals - perfect fit for that outro!

Interesting song. I like it. The vocal is too bright. It may be too loud as well but it's hard to tell. Well done!
