Last New Clip for While.

I think I'm done mixing.  I'm sure it could use a tweak here or there, but it aint gonna happen.  Songs are going out as is. LOL

Nice, tight mix on this Pete! Some of the leads could be pushed just a little back, not much, but they are right "in your face" at times. Great job!

Helllo Peter, I just love the lead guitar at 1:00, and the drumming is nice.  Such a high energy song!  I like the arrangement to, it has some distinct changes that make it very interesting.

Don't be gone to long Peter.  But if you are, and we never meet again, Peace!  It was nice to meet you, and listen to your tunes.

Very clear mix that's pleasing to the ears -- if the bass parts were a little varied the overall sound would be more interesting but that's a small detail as everything else cooks along quite well.  Very good playing and a good listen :)

Nice leads!   Love the legato-y feel and note/scale choice, and in particular the arps you've thrown in the first solo.

OK, with that out of the way, the mix is really clear as already mentioned.  The rhythm guitars sound great.

This would make a cool "rock performance" video, lots of cuts of the musicians playing their parts. Mix sounds very clean. nice job!

Solid, pro performance and great mixing and sound.  Very impressed.  My only complaint is the lead didn't capture my interest very much.  No worries, because the rhythm section kept all my interest.  Good writing.  Incidentally, were those real drums or ??

Thanks for listening and for the compliments.  Yea, I do think guitar is a little in-your-face, but that's what I was going for...and since I could still hear all the other instruments it was good enough for me. LOL  I'm usually pretty happy with my guitar tones ( both rhythm and leads).  I use an e906/e609/sm57 for all tracks with the 906 pulling most of the weight.  And my Voodoo modded DSL is very easy to record.

Drums are real, but I mixed in kick and snare samples with the originals.  Used mostly crappy Shure PG mics with a few 57s and a modded 57 (Granelli 5790) for the snare.  I actually liked the original snare sound, but the hats would sneak in through the gate on the snare channel so I had to cut the original highs and bring in some high end from the sampled snare.

Jesse, I'll be back - just super busy right now sending off everything for the CD added to the usual family drama.
