belated request for leave of absence...

Hiya peeps

Just in case you haven't noticed, I have not been around these parts for a bit. Since November I think.

Having been quite busy for a period, and having plenty of time because I had "retired" for a bit, I decided to give my music a break for a time. Nothing serious... I do this all the time, jumping in and out of this hobby of mine.

One of the reasons was I got drawn back into a MMOFPS game which, like most computer games, can be most addictive.

I also landed a job. So it was easier to use my reduced "spare time" to jump on that darn game than get all psyched up for a bit of decomposing.

And then over the Christmas break I decided to dig out another old hobby of mine... Radio controlled cars. I hadn't had my 1/10 scale nitro powered car out for well over fifteen years, and I was amazed when I managed to get it going again without much fuss.

Next thing I know, me and my youngest bought new 1/8 scale cars and we've been having a blast with them for the last five weeks or so.

Even my better half is having a go, and enjoying it, which is always a big plus...

So, like last time, I may be absent from this forum from time to time, but I count music as my one big main hobby and I will always return to it.

In the meantime, here's a vid taken at one of our most recent "bashing" sessions:-

https://youtu.be/HTxL4-UUItQ

I may well be doing some simple background music stuff for more vids in the future, giving me a chance to combine my music along with playing with my car and creating the vids

cheers for now, and apologies for not popping in sooner.......

Like we're supposed to believe all that bollocks?

You were probably just hiding because the neighbors discovered you're a Liverpool fan (or possibly jailed for stalking Jurgen Klopp!).

Ok, well, welcome back and all that.

Hi,

If he was gone, we didn't notice?

We're definitely getting old ... can't blame Sonar for that!

Oh I noticed and had to track the bugger down......found him in a corner after taking all his toys away from the playground.

Hi,

The Liverpool honeymoon is over, though! I don't think they will be any better next year ... !!!

The nice thing in the EPL this year, is that this might be the year when all 3 bottom teams are over 30 points, and that shows the league is FINALLY averaging out better, and the distance between top and bottom is getting smaller each year ... I would really like to see the big teams lose the ability to rape the lower teams and take their players away ... but some folks/owners have never seen a payday that big, and they will sell and go back to the minor leagues.

Kinda weird to see some previous teams, like Bolton ... in the bottom and about to be relegated yet again ... very weird and strange way to run a business!

Aston Villa needs to do a lot more than they are to get 30 points!  Heck, they're barely half-way there now.

Bolton?  They're not even in the EPL, they're in last of the Championship league (hello League 1!).  I'm looking forward to watching Middlesbrough next year, they looked good last year and barely missed being promoted.  I can't believe how bad the Queen's Park Rangers have been after barely being relegated from the EPL last season.  Oh well.

Hey synkrotron, welcome back, I look forward to meeting you over the interwebs.

As far as the video goes, I did not expect that at all!  I have to tell you, for some reason, I was just LMAO, I expected aguitar solo and instead got some uber hyped miniature car going umpteen miles per hour and doing cart wheels.

I'm sorry if it is not cool to laugh, but you have to realize what I expected.

It looks like you could do some serious maneuvers with one of those babies!

Bolton got relegated a year or two ago ... and Fulham the year before last, after they messed up with Clint Dempsey and lost control of the rest of the players ... that manager really screwed up a good team. Bolton was doing better, but the minute they sold Tim Ream to Fulham, they dropped to the bottom ... again ... seems to me like bad management that just is not interested in the team anymore.

AV, will need some luck. Sunderland, some luck. Of course, we're still waiting for that team from the really low leagues ... the Coffee House Sonarists ... to get into the lowest levels so we can start cheering more in this game!

Well, the Black Cats just beat Man U. last week but AV gave SIX goals to Liverpool so I give Sunderland a far better chance to survive.  At least they're trying!

Much better on the eyes are the U.S. Women!  They destroyed Trindad last night 5-0 (which could have been 8-0 easy).  I'm not even sure if they U.S. team had a goalie, she was never on the screen!  Tomorrow they play Canada in the CONCACAF finals although they've already qualified for the Olympics in Brazil.  It would be nice to add a Gold medal to their recent World Cup victory.

Oh yeah, and how can I finish this without a nod to our own MLS Champions, the Portland Timbers?  Their preseason home debut starts tomorrow.  Will they make a run at repeating or pull a Chelsea?  We'll see!

Hiya Jesse,

Yeah, it's very cool to laugh... Most stuff I do is for the fun of it, even my music
