X2 Producer and trial with Platinum

Hi Guys,
Need your answer on the following...
I use X2 Producer version and before process paid upgrade to Platinum I would like to try it for free. If download trial on Platinum would it overwrite my currently installed X2 Producer on my PC or would it be separate program to use? Also in terms of VSTs would Sonar Platinum recognize already installed ones under X2 without erasing them but with automatic copy of them into its own folders? Will I be able to edit with Platinum previous projects made under X2?
Basically I want to avoid situation when sth would disappear like VSTs, plugins etc.

Many thank for your help!
Regards,

Hey, Oxy! I actually just finished the download for the 60-day free trial of Platinum. It DOES NOT overwrite any previous Cakewalk versions. All mine are still there. And all my Cakewalk projects, from X2 and X3 all open up in Platinum. None of my plugins disappeared. Can't wait to give it a go...

Just in case there's confusion, the 60-day demo is for X3 Producer owners.
    Otherwise the regular demo applies.
