Sudden latency

Hi everyone,
yesterday i was recording with sonar and everything was fine, i was using BIAS, and i had no problem whatsover,
today i went back to record like always and suddenly i have this awful latency and i have absolutely no idea on how to get rid of it.
How did i get this latency without changing any settings?
please help
Thanks

Hi, and welcome to this forum. My guess is that you have a plugin that has a "look forward" function in your project, and it is causing latency issues. Try bypassing all plugins (E) when recording, and see if that helps.
    All the best.

Amp Sims often use lookahead buffers that trigger Plugin Delay Compensation in SONAR, and some patches will induce more PDC than others. Hit 'E' on your keyboard or click the FX [Bypass] button in the Mix Module to bypass all FX in the  project, and confirm this is the cause. If you're trying to record on a track other than the one with the FX on it, you can click the PDC [Override] button (default shortcut 'D') in the Mix Module to override PDC on input-monitored tracks (including soft synths) to allow tracking without the added latency of PDC.

There are two sources of latency; plug-ins and the audio interface. Review your Driver mode and settings in SONAR and the interface.

What is ASIO buffer size in Preferences > Audio > Driver Settings? And how are you experiencing the latency - input monitoring analog audio input, or playing a soft synth by live MIDI input or...?
