Correctly Tell a User the Start Time of a Selection Group of Clips

So, today, if a user puts a bunch of clips in a selection group, SONAR tells the user it doesn't know the start time of 'the group'. Actually, it doesn't even say that. The program says the start time is 'Multi'. Really?!? I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, here, but it should be common sense that the start time of the selection group is the time the first clip in the group...starts. Why else would a user want to put >1 group in a selection group?

So, once the software is taught the actual start time of a selection group, then cool things can start happening. Such as:
1) The program finally knows how and where to paste that group, because the start time of where the group is to be pasted will truly be the start time the user selects...every time...not only some of the time.
2) A user can possibly know where to start or paste other clips to be aligned with the start time of that selection group.

Please fix this...this year.

The properties are properties of the clips, not of the group or the selection range it defines. So it's working as designed that when the clips in the group start at different times, clip properties displays 'multi'.

But that shouldn't interfere with pasting based on the start time of the first clip in the group because that's defined by the From value established when you make the selection (whether by grouping, lassoing, Ctrl+clicking, etc.).

If you're seeing inconsistent behavior related to the paste location, it's not because Clip properties is showing 'multi'.

Can you give a specific example of how this isn't working as expected now?
