Ozone 7 users: Ozone 7 Standalone presents 2 track master differently than Sonar?

Importing the exact same master 2 track into my Sonar X3 Studio and into Ozone 7 (without any plugins enabled in Sonar and with all modules bypassed in Ozone),  I find that the Ozone version is much brighter. Cymbals pronounced, jumping annoyingly out of the mix.
Am I doing something wrong ?   Anyone else have this issue ?

I'm not at my pc right now, but last night I noticed some module bypass issues similar to what you've described. I'll take a deeper look into it later on.

OK, here's some more important info...

1)- when I import a 2 track master into Ozone 7 standalone, Ozone boosts the treble and volume of the 2 track quite a bit, even with all modules in bypass.

2)- when I use Ozone 7 as a plugin in Sonar, on a single stereo track (the same 2 track master imported into Sonar), with all modules bypassed, Ozone boosts the volume and treble just a bit, but nowhere near as much as when it is in standalone mode.

3)- when I use Ozone 7 as a plugin in Sonar on the Master Bus, Ozone boosts the volume and treble just a bit, just like in (2).

Seems like Ozone 7 behaves differently in standalone mode compared to plugin mode..... ?

There is some difference. For example, Ozone 7 Advance stand-alone allows third party VSTs into its signal chain, but this option is not available within Sonar. In application, Ozone should be used as a stand-alone mastering application as preference, and not as a plug in. It should also be showing available as an export option tool in the audio file export dialogue window.

Ozone has always been complex. The latest version can be said to be less complex than Ozone 5 Advanced. Its more complex than Ozone 6 Advanced due to the analog modules in 7 Advanced. As a plugin its not so complex.

What you do get with it are a lot of versatility.

As to the OPs problems with it. I wonder if its not loading a default preset? This could be different in standalone or as a plugin.

For sure, I'm able to dial in a master far quicker... I'm loving the new Ozone 7!
