[RESOLVED] Dimension Pro layered sounds not working as expected.

Today I was trying out some new DimPro sounds only to find some odd results.

Specifically under 17 - Layers I found that several patches set E2-E4 volume so low you can't hear them. Some layers can't be heard even with the volume all the way up as if there is no sample even being played.

Is this a Dimension issue? I am having some hard drive issues that could be contributing but before I replace it and reinstall the entire system I thought I'd check in here first.

Thanks
Steve

Any particular program? They seem to work OK here. They do rely on the mod wheel a lot.

    Try these:

Ac Guitar & DX mw - E2 vol set @6.0. Must increase to hear
Ac Guitar Dly Gt mw - E2 vol @4.0. Must increase to hear
    Ac Guitar Pad mw - E2 vol @57. @100 can't hear anything
                               - E3 vol @44. @100 is very low
Ac Piano & Ac Gt mw - E2 vol @4.0. Must increase to hear
Ac Piano & DX mw - E2 vol @6.0. Must increase to hear

And so it goes right down the list.

"mw" means modwheel. Are the E2 voice levels controlled by the mod wheel? My current controller doesn't have one.

Yes, to hear how the programs are intended to be used add an automation lane for the mod wheel and manually play with the fader while holding a note.

Nice. Thanks scook. Confession tho, I had to look up a youtube video to understand this.

I actually couldn't find an automation lane for it but PRV CC controllers work with Dimension's MIDI Matrix window.

Yes, the CC lanes in the PRV will work too. The automation lanes for MIDI data are only available in MIDI tracks. The dialog is similar to the CC in the PRV. If you use an instrument track it will need to be split to get to the MIDI CC automation lanes.

Thanks again scook. Nice to know there's 2 ways to do it.

Frustrating thing about the Help file is having to rightclick-properties-unblock each time I open it. Unbelievable.
