I got the Death Wish Coffee today!
I am hesitant. I ordered some ground coffee and a bag of K-cups. I tried a K-cup in the Kuerig about 1:30... I am VERY sensitive to any visual changes because of my checkered pharmaceutical past... early 70s tabs of this and that and a lot of them.
This coffee made everything look a little ore shiny and sort of different. More depth. I am always quick to notice these sort of things. If you're not "experienced" you probably wont notice... but I did! That lasted for a little less than an hour. I checked my blood pressure, it didn't go up. My heart rate went up about 20bpm. It was nice after the initial rush and apprehension. It even gave a few body rushes "pins and needles". I would NOT drink two of them. The ground coffee, at the recommended rate has 55mg of caffeine per oz. That is at 2.5 tablespoons per 6oz of water. I'll use 2tbsp like I do with other coffee. That should be 550mg of caffeine in a 12oz cup. That's a lot but I'm used to caffeine, I like it.
I'll update once I make a pot... so far I would recommend it if you like coffee. I'm going to start with a blend of Community or Red Diamond just to be safe.
Anyway, it tastes great. It does what coffee should do. I think once I get more used to it, it wont do so much... though I don't mind the slight visuals or the rushing. So, if you want everything a little faster I recommend caffeine and Death Wish Coffee Company.

I like it when things get shinier. They also tend to get more defined, more 3D and seem more "real." Dang, that must be some coffee!

I know, I know... but it happened. I think the door must have been left cracked open way back when. I've often thought that. Once you see the faces in the woodgrain and the concrete... they never completely go away. This is some good coffee! J

I still remember going to a Vietnamese restaurant (I believe) and getting this filter coffee where you start with a large shot glass with some condensed milk at the bottom. Then, during your meal, hot water is slowly dripping through strong coffee in a filter and into the shot glass. Once the meal is complete, you stir up the coffee and condensed milk then down it like a shot. Wow! That was the first time I REALLY got a coffee high. Unfortunately, I also felt like a fly in a tiny glass box too!

It's hard to beat sitting on a terrace in Negril while drinking Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. One of the finest things about Jamaica. That, and 40 oz bottles of over proof Baccardi for $8 US. Mind you the soda was $26 US for a 2 litre bottle.
I gave up the booze but I still reach for my first coffee before I'm fully awake.

Hi,
This one store in Recife, on the beach had a two sided banner for a menu ... and on one side was a BANANA this and that menu, with over 75 variations, and at the bottom it said ... we also have the basic banana!
And sure enough, they had on the other side the same thing for coffee ... over 75 different drinks and all that and at the bottom ... it said ... "and just the plain black stuff called coffee".
This was like 40 years ago, before things went crazy with "expresso" ... in many places, they were already serving fancy stuff ... but a banana this or that with a fancy coffee ... let me tell you it was a treat and then some!

Yeah, my heart doctor des not like it. He doesn't like anything though. Life is for living. I drink coffee every morning, every morning. I eat saturated fat over unsaturated fat. I don't believe much of what the doctors tell me. They learn from the pharmaceutical companies who have an interest in me being sick so I will buy drugs to treat my symptoms. Cholesterol is good for you. It is essential. Your body makes it. They had my heart rate so low I had to get off two drugs. My heart rate came up and my BP went down. Pffft. Drink coffee if you want it, just don't start with Death Wish coffee, lol. J
