Upgrade stalled

I got my upgrade completed. But I'm not having a good report. The bridged pci slots on the ASRock Pro4 I put my RME 9632 pci card in cause stuttering no matter the latency, # of plugins, etc. Serious drag.
 
I found a couple different pcie/pci adapters that some have had success with, avoiding using the bridged pci slots. They are a different bridge chip. I'd like to narrow it down to buying one that works. Anyone have this system/RME 9632 setup and successfully use one of these?
