Missing envelopes in track view

I have a weird case here. I was wondering if someone could shed some light. I pulled up an older project in Sonar Platinum (probably Sonar X1) and I'm playing the song back. I can hear one of my tracks getting louder but I do not see any of the volume meters moving and there are no controllers or envelopes in the track view to indicate the volume swell. I pull up the Event viewer for the clip in question and I can see a "shape" event. This is apparently responsible for the volume change but it doesn't show up in the track view. Any ideas on how to make this show up in track view? Is this a possible glitch?

You need to open the control lane in the track view, it is a little gadget at the bottom left of the lane looks like a curved line with dots on it.

I did this and there is nothing there that would indicate a volume change.

I figured it out. I had to split the track into audio and MIDI. It was a MIDI volume change.
