Soldier's Heaven

One of my potential collaborators said I write *gloomy music*.  Is this gloomy? https://soundcloud.com/da...324214/soldiers-heaven

Yes Well, melancholy anyway. There's a nice idea here but I would suggest a) you need to think about developing it a bit more, and b) play the parts more fluidly, the piano is a bit shaky here and there. At the moment it's all like an intro to something bigger.

Yes, I'm not a PIano playa.  But thanks for the feedback.

So James, where should I go with this...symphonic type sonata or more like a song ABACA with lyrics?  It's a really pretty theme, I want to do some work on it.  Here's some lyrics I came up with right off the bat:  Enter battlefields forever/say you're gonna stay/disregard the people/but then people pass away.  Do you write lyrics?
