I bought a LANDR subscription
I bought a 1 year low-res subscription with the coupon code RAWPOWER for $40 USD. Seems like not too much to pay to get some interesting ideas. I've paid more for plugins I don't use. I'll report back if I'm still using it in a month or two.

It will definitely be interesting to hear back the results. As some of us are getting older, our hearing is not quite what is used to be. I am hoping LANDR can be used as a tool to help me along in that regard.

Feedback 01: First thing I've done is upload 40 tracks to master and check out. For each track, I can't set them all to Low and just save them. It requires an enormous amount of clicking to save them locally. After you download, it auto sets an intensity (never Low) and you have to click a button to change it and wait 5 minutes. Then you have to click another button to change it. Another to download it. Another to save the download. When the download is saved it auto opens a window you have to click to close. 2 clicks to get to intensity choices (then wait)... 2 clicks to set to Low and Render. Then you wait to Render. 3 clicks to save it to a folder (assuming you save them all to the same folder and don't have to navigate around). This times 40 tracks takes hours. Looks like all the files go here... C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Local\LANDR\Finished Masters inside guid folder names like 6edffbe2-5be8-435a-a880-867534de4241 and then with names like... master_low.mp3 To get them moved somewhere useful, you have to do 7 slow clicks through the gui.

To add to my frustrations, there is no indicator which tracks have been saved off which means I repeatedly attempt to save the same tracks. Of 32 tracks at least 6 failed to upload for some reason and didn't recover without me dragging them back into LANDR. But... I keep getting and error uploading one track. idk why. It's too long maybe? The error has no associated message. So... to try to shorten the list, I started trying to delete them, but they cannot be deleted. The file names can only be dimmed. So, the longer I use it, the longer my list of masters will become. So, it would be good if this list was sortable, right? It isn't. Update: Eventually I was able to get all the tracks uploaded, mastered and downloaded and saved. From start to finish for 32 tracks: 1 Hour.

Hey guys, I'm Ludovic from LANDR. Desktop app developer team lead.
First of all, thank you on this valuable feedback.
We are investigating some file upload issues identified for our Windows desktop app. We are hopeful to have a deployed resolution within 3 weeks.
We have not been able to reproduce any file saving issues, but will continue trying to reproduce. If you have more detailed information, please let us know.
It is possible to remove local copy of the tracks from the application cache, using the recycle bin icon on each row. It will delete the local used by the app, and not the row from the list. The list is loaded using pagination so there is no performances impact, and the search can be used if you have a lot of tracks and you search a specific one.
It is also possible to perform bulk download / save / zip / remove local copy operation, by using multi-select (Hold down "Shift" key and clic on the last item you want to select, or hold down "Ctrl" key and clic on each row). The menu at the top of the list will let you remove local copies, download or save files depending on the state of each tracks.
Our download file location download is fixed, custom location is not possible. We understand the other feature requests noted in this thread and our short-term roadmap is addressing all of them.

lthomas,
You rock!
Thanks so much for the multi-select tip. I'll try it tonight.
As long as you are listening to input, it would be nice to be able to download all three versions of a set of songs so you can make three CDs for auditioning.
If not that, it would be nice to download a set of songs all mastered at the same level so CD volume remains consistent during playback.
Loving LANDR!

That's a deal killer for me if all downloaded files go to the C drive. I use a SSD and mainly for my OS. Walt

That is one case where a directory junction would help. My SSD is getting old enough that rapid writing flares its temper. You can junction that directory to a HDD, since many programs just default there (because Windows points it).
ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.

You can define your user directory within Windows to anything you like.

Not on my win7 system. I can move the things in my user folder (like My Documents, etc.) but not the user folder itself. And I seem to remember a few years ago trying to junction the entire Users folder somewhere else and blowing up Windows, so I don't recommend trying that.

Lots more troubles tonight uploading songs, downloading songs.
Saving files in sets does work, but I got various errors uploading and rendering. Ultimately it all worked.
